I buy chicken quarters from Wally World that say nothing on the package about enhancement solutions.
So if they are being truthful with packaging, then they do have un-enhanced chicken.
Just be sure to read the fine print.
I'll try to see what brand it is tomorrow.

This might be a dumb question, but, what is "enhanced poultry"?
Enhanced poultry has been injected with a solution of water, salt, sugar, phosphates(what are those for?), and other flavorings.
They do it to make up for weight, instead of adding in more meat.
You could be paying for 15% of the weight on the package to be a brine solution.
This could upset some dog's stomachs.
It bothered Turbo at first, and then I guess he got use to it.
I could be crazy, but I swear his stools look different with enhanced chicken vs. un-enhanced. They are almost white, and I'm not talking about him getting too much bone. Don't really know what it is.

Michael, you might want to start a new thread, since this isn't raw-related. Call your vet and tell them about the reaction, and ask if you can apply a compress or something else to ease the pain.
Many people on this board do not vaccinate, or vaccinate on a very limited basis, due to vaccinosis (bad reaction(s) to the vaccine given). If you google vaccinosis you will come up w/ a ton of info. Here is a link from Leerburg...

Well worth reading and educating yourself!

I checked my chicken package last night that I get from walmart and it does not say anything about added solutions or even that its 100% natural. Its Gold Leaf Brand and come in a red 10 lb package in the fresh chicken isle (not in the frozen area) anyway, I hope its not pumped full of extra stuff. I know its still gotta be better than kibble

Michael, what Lynne was getting at is that your vaccine question isn't going to get any attention under a raw feeding title.
That isn't just a random question. This could potentially be serious. It needs to be pointed out to a vet now to make sure, though.
Really, nobody else is going to notice the vaccine question and it needs more attention than yogurt at the moment.

I didn't get a chance to look today, but I'm pretty sure thats what we get, too.
If it doesn't say it anywhere on the bag then it should not have any enhancements.

Cool.
Do be sure to check out that vaccination link that Lynne gave you.
Yes, the yogurt is fine to give, too.
