In Ed's puppy video he says it is okay for your puppy to play with tennis balls but as an adult it's not good because the glue is bad for the dog's teeth. My puppy is in his teething stage is it still okay for him to play with the tennis ball or should I stop it now?

Do you have other fun balls? (How about UltraBalls? See below.) You could start playing two-ball and phase out the tennis ball completely. http://leerburg.com/toy.htm
When they are teething I think that they often drool, and I understand that it's the saliva mixed with the glue that's a bad thing for the enamel, unless it's "flushed" from the teeth, like in water play. (Of course, there's also the abrasion from the fuzz, over time.)
I believe the tennis ball is like a Brillo pad on their teeth if they chew on it too much. Dogs should not be left alone with tennis balls, either. There are lots of other varieties of balls/toys that can be substituted, like the Orbee ball on a string that is sold on the site.
