This was our full time job, and I rendered Military Honors at many a fallen Soldiers/Veteran's funeral. During one, my team was waiting in the wings for the civilian portion of the funeral to end, and we had the distinct displeasure of listening to every single member of the family vent their spleen about how much the deceased had wronged them. There were no kind words said, and we really didn't know how to handle the situation, except pretend we couldn't hear a word they were saying, and carry on like nothing had happened.
