E-collars are illegal in Germany(yes, truly) and I live in a very crowded city... can't hide an e-collar, nomatter how disguised, on your dog here. I have very disabled hands. LOVE to not be able to use a throw chain. But, it gets his attention when my hands cannot. I use it VERY rarely, as he responds (fairly well) to my voice, when my voice is working. I got my dog in USA as a pup before learning I would need to move to Germany in a densely crowded city where e-collars are verboten. The chain is very lightweight, not the usual thro-chain, but makes a startling enough noise. It's a solution used only for when he chooses to ignore the "Leave it" to visually lock on to another dog with intent to initiate a doggyparty on walks. To be thruthful, though rarely used, and has helped hugely.
