Welcome. The last dog I had was a GSD. One of the best dogs I ever had. Got Molly now. Not sure what all she has in her. Some people have said she looks like mostly lab with a touch of pitbull.
There are a lot of different forums for questions. Click on "forums" at the top of the page and look through the different forums to find the one that's closest to the question you want to ask. Mostly however general questions can be asked in the "General Dog Conversation" forum.
To use your own signature picture you will need a hosting site. I use Photobucket but there are others that are free that work just as well. Edit a picture that you like and upload it to the hosting site. I'm not sure the rules here on picture size but in general just keep it to a reasonable size.
The photo hosting site will give you a link to your photo once you upload it. Copy that link then here on the forum click on "My Stuff at the top of the page and in the drop down select "My Profile". Near the bottom of that page you will see a box with this at the top:
Quote:
Signature: (up to 100 characters) You may use UBBCode in your signature.
Paste that link into the box below that and your signature should show on the forum.

I use the active topics button for recent stuff I may want to reply to.
I use the forums button to go in and read older threads and search for something.
If you receive a private message you will see a little flashing envelope next to the "my stuff" button.
Also, Photobucket is really easy to use and is great for placing pictures and links to pictures on here.
You are allowed 2 pics in your members bio, one pic in "tribute to a lost friend" and then all other pics must be linked and not directly placed in a post. It cuts down the load time so the pages load faster.
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
Or .... here are all the various forums.... read through and you will see a title that refers to whatever training you are doing. Click on that title and start a "new topic" (up above, blue text). http://leerburg.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/cfrm
