Jennifer,
I tried to resist commenting on your surroundings but I give up!!
Definitely: Dog Paradise. If holding the toy with your chin doesn't work for you, could you hold a ball in place with a long spoon or one of the chuckit ball throwers? I know it's not ideal but I was just trying to think outside of the box. You will find a way and good luck on your training.
Still not able to travel anywhere, finances are on the sucky side as with most people these days but Cuda is doing well.
I am now reduced to using my cell phone to take pictures! Here are a few from today, just had him backtied with his tug on a line to get some action shots. Not easy by yourself when you have to move the tug and take the picture lol
He looks a little like a demon in that first pic, with one wild white eye (I assume it was the lighting or picture quality), but the rest of the images in the album show a pretty good lookin (and enthusiastic!) boy! You're going to have to get a good camera in the next few years because he's going to be quite handsome when he fills out, and I don't want to miss all the details.
*I commend you on your photography too - you're right, it sure ain't easy to flail one arm and keep the other dead still - all while trying to get close enough for the perfect shot, but not TOO close that the camera takes a hit from dog nose!
Are you still in Sams Valley? I grew up in Grants Pass, sister is in Central Point and brother has a "mini-ranch" in the Hugo area. Your pictures are making me kinda home sick...
Picture updates at 1 year! Cuda's first trip to the river. Very cold (59 degrees) water on a hot July day (was over 100 that day) Was given a new camera so I can finally take decent pictures.
OMG Jenn! From the side pic, Floyd and Cuda could be brothers! Similar markings, and crazy Piggy tail!!! I'll post updated pics soon. Good luck with your boy.
I love that I have another AB person on this board!
My youngest carries his tail just like that, with the tip just touching his back when he is alert. His is a funny little tail though, it barely reaches his hocks.
I can't wait for his working pics. Oh, make sure to take some video too!
