So I have a unique issue for one of my dogs. I'm not really sure if it is an issue but it I'm pretty sure would dock some points in an obedience competition.
My dog is across the yard off leash or on, doesn't matter for this particular dog. I yell out down. She drops perfect sphynx into the down which makes me pleased as punch. If I call her at this point she'll do the world's fastest army crawl in my direction like a creeping border collie. I can get her to stop but I can't get her to actually stand and walk normally until she's in the heel position. If I just plain call her she does not creep.
She's a very intense, very soft dog. A dog that generally involves only half hearted voice corrections, and does understand "good" as a marker.
So far things I've tried doing to speed her up and force her out of the crawl/creep is turning my back and walking away during the actual recall phase. It just sped up the speed of her crawl/creep. Anyone else delt with this before? Any ideas in making the crawl going away or should I just ignore it?

No never punished for the recall, like I said on a normal recall she runs normally. She's an exceptionally soft dog so I've been pretty careful with her as far as figuring out her style of training as she can literally be overcorrected using voice. She is also not a very toy happy dog. She can pretty much take it or leave it. She is however a very much glued to me dog, meaning she follows me everywhere, sleeps on my foot if she can, prefers my company to anyone else dog or human which is why I was hoping the drive to be with me would outweigh the creeping.
Although maybe where I went wrong now that I think about it some more on the down and recall was I used the wait command in between down and come when I was initially training it. Maybe that threw some caution into the recall only from the down, introducing the creeping. This of course is only a guess as the other dogs who were also trained like this in my house don't creep.
How about standing directly in front of her very close when she's in a down, almost standing over her. Tell her come and lure her up into a fast front-sit and then start adding a little distance.
