At the moment my dogs are using Innotek collars, on which the collar batteries are not replaceable. We have 2 collars and 2 transmitters. My older dog's collar is starting to malfunction (it won't zap sometimes and the range is not as far as it used to be). We are looking at some of the 2 dog systems and trying to decide which to get as a replacement.
The older dog is generally pretty obedient and only needs a mild correction every once in a while to get him to stop what he's doing and pay attention. Our younger dog is very hardheaded and needs a stronger correction to get her to stop (she is a coonhound, and her nose gets her in trouble!). Most of the 2-dog models I see have one dial to set the correction level, so you can't set a lower level for one dog and a higher level for another dog without changing the setting on the dial. Has anyone found this to be a problem? I'd hate to mistakenly give my older dog a hard correction when he didn't need it.
The system we have been looking at is the Dogtra 202NCP. Does anyone have any experiences to share using this system for 2 dogs?
