I thought fleas were fleas...sure, there are always different versions of any little pests, like many thousand different kinds of mosquitoes, but I never had a clue that there are dog and cat fleas. Did these guys actually get grant money to fund this research???!!! Whatever. I read the study, of course there was a lot of information. But I do believe cat fleas bite dogs and dog fleas bite cats (maybe I should read this study again for clarification--NOT) and it's just one big mess of fleas. Thankfully, I'm not dealing with it, but my friends house is infested with her outside cats and inside dogs. I'm sure she'd be THRILLEd to know her cat's fleas are jumping lower than her dog's fleas.
