I recently purchased Ed's Pack Structure DVD and am going through it. From the video as well as what I have read here at Leerburg.com, I am seeing that there is a lot of emphasis placed on *you* controlling the dog's world to establish yourself as leader/provider/etc. Makes sense.... however, I may have an issue. I work out of town and usually one night per week I am not at home. My wife is at home and is willing to take care of the dogs, but I am concerned as to how this will affect the program. My only conjecture is that we just be sure to be consisitent in how we handle things.
Additionally, there are times when my wife and I are both out of town on business. We typically have a pet sitter come in and take care of our animals. Same issue as above only compounded since it is a stranger.
Ryan, Life goes on....just do the best you can with your situation. The dog is living in your home and has to work around your life and must obey your wife also, for sure when you aren't home. Contact with the sitter should be minimal.
Much of it depends on the temperament of the dog(s).
