Had to take all dogs to the vet today as we got a notice that they have no records of a rabies shot and we are not registered with the city. Anyway 10 year old Doberman was 82# and should be around 68. She looks good just wide in midsection but still can see ribs. I have been trying to cut her weight and she is only getting 1 to 1.25 lbs raw food per day. How much can I cut back and still be healthy? Feel bad when she only gets one chicken back and maybe a neck for a meal. All dogs weighed heavy and thought maybe the scale but tried myself and was correct (not telling how much) She is getting older and now back in the city gets way less activity. She could lay in the bed with you all day. GSD was 98, Mali was 76. going to cut all back.

Mitch,
If the dogs look good, are happy, healthy and energetic I would not cut back just because they are "supposed" to weigh a certain weight according to breed standards.....
Jesea weighed in at 68.7 pounds before we had her bred and you can see one maybe two of her ribs when she is just moving around and you can see her whole ribline when she is working or running.
I go by how the dogs look and also when I am working them, if they seem a little low on the energy scale for their normal selves, I up their food intake a bit. (I also keep an eye on them in case they may not be feeling well).
Also, do you have access to a treadmill?

Dixie has always been small and her weight when active and younger was always around 65#. She also has a problem with her front leg and has had for several years. She will gimp around on it sometimes after heavy running.Have never found out anything and always teased that it was a girl thing and she wanted attention. Please ladies don't eat me up on that one as my wife has done enough. Wanting to get her down to keep stress off her leg. I wish I could figure out how to do pics so you all could see them
