My new pup seems very intent on focusing on her lead when I have her out, she wants to attack it and carry it around in her mouth!
I have her on a very light 15 foot lead, thinking that she would just let it drag, but she is full of surprises!
My question is, should I just let her carry it or should I just not put one on her for now? She is only 10 weeks old.

You know- I can't for the life of me seem to remember if I did anything about this or not- but Blitz did the same thing. I think it basically went away as he got around 3 months old.
He also quickly learned he could eat the string cheese a whole lot faster if he spit the leash out LOL...
I say let her drag the leash... you have a much better chance of directing her and catching her if she decides to ignore you (which will start happening as she matures some) as she gets more independant.

Thanks Deanna! I was thinking that I shouldn't make a big deal about it, BUT, I don't want her to chew it in half as she is roaming around with it!!
The lead is pretty thin and also, she never seems to want to pee, I can stay outside with her forever and she seems to just want to play, or hang out w/ me. So I keep picking her up and popping her back in the crate to wait and see if she will pee later. Today she only peed about 3 or4 times. Perhaps she's still rehydrating from her long travel yesterday??
The vet check today showed her to be in perfect health, so I am feeling that it is just a matter of getting a routine down.

My ten week old pup is also carrying his leash around. Since I'm working on "bring" with him, he's so proud of himself when he comes strutting up to me with it. Since I won't do "outs" with him yet, I just keep treats in my pocket. This little monster is lots more willing to learn than my terriers were.

I have stopped using the leash out on potty breaks, she was just too occupied w/ the leash!! So now I will keep treats w/ me for other times, but I noticed she doesn't do it if we are out and about anyway, only when we are out in the front yard!
