I had to get OC'ed because I went to a minimum security prison (which is all they use there here in WI). I felt better when they changed the policy on OC and then EVERYBODY had to have it done. They had all been told they didn't have to get OC'ed unless they went to minimum. Woops.
We also had training on lots of other stuff and some of the "macho" guys would volunteer to try it out. I was NEVER that stupid. I'm trying to find video of a non-lethal weapon called the Band-It. This thing drops anybody in about .1 seconds. Boom! The most macho guys around "tap out" (say Uncle) really quick. It's extremely effective to say the least and I'd never want to experience it.

They told me that each of the three times I certified with OC.
I work in a maximum security prison in Missouri and carry pepper spray. We don't have to be sprayed in training, however, everytime someone has had to use it, it stays in the air it seems forever... Burns my eyes, long after it has been sprayed, Sure am glad we don't have to be sprayed yearly in our recertification...we get enough practice....
Good choice. Since you missed that are you going volunteer to test the Tazer? Wonder which is worse.
My husband is a peace officer and had to get pepper sprayed twice, gassed, and tazed. He said the tazer was by far the worst pain he has ever felt in his life.

I just had an idea, every inmate should be pepper sprayed as often as the officers. that way they fully understand what they're in for when they act up
