A friend of mine from cycling showed us his stylus 1050 SW http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1395 . He apparently takes it cycling with him as well as on vacation- he showed us some underwater video of his kids at a waterpark. Very cool- a little on the heavy side for a compact, but awesome features.
I'm really torn between the Olympus 1030 SW and the Canon G7.
I think the G7 is really neat because of its retro look, and because its supposed to be up there in the quality of the SLRs without the manual function.
The boyfriend on the other hand says I don't need another camera unless its waterproof, and the 1030 SW is the best waterproof one that I can find. I'm afraid that the quality of the waterproof pictures isn't what I'm used to, even with my Casio 10 MP, and I'll be really upset that I got it...
Simple solution. Get yourself the G7 and tell your boyfriend if he doesn't get you the 1030 SW for Christmas he'll be looking for a new girlfriend.
