once again this may be a silly question but good training techs
example in dog sled training we do one command each day for a week and then the next another command and then at the end of the month we do all of the commands together.
do you think this is a way to go with my 7 month old mal?
and how far do I push him to learn do not want to sour him on training.
I don't think there is a cookie cutter formula for this.
I think most people on this board use marker training to teach their dog whatever behavior it is they want the dog to perform. Once the behavior is consistently performed, then you introduce the command (aka "name the exercise"). Leerburg sells a DVD specifically on Marker Training. I don't have it (yet) but I hear it's quite good. There is also an article on this site on Marker Training that I recommend you read if you're unfamiliar with the concept.
