Hey Norman, I have a 8 month old GSD that does the weave across the track when I train him should I be worried about this or is it normal? Great vid by the way!

Regarding your question, that’s a hard one to answer because I haven’t seen how you lay your track, how you started your dog,how old is the track, and how you handle your dog while tracking. Hey Norman, he is 8 months old and is relatively new to tracking. I basically lay a fresh track that is normally a L. It is straight out and bootlegs to either right or left. He just jumps on it and weaves. I started him on scent pads with his food and then moved to pieces of puppy biscuits in my tracks. I normally lay them and then go and get Remy, so it is pretty fresh.
