Im not sure what i did wrong, but my 13 week old GSD is playing keep away with his toys. He has a great retreive, but wont bring it to me. How can i solve this?
If you look on this board, you will see similar posts with playing keep away and with recalling a dog. Have you tried using two toys yet? This is where you throw one and keep one. When the pup gets the first toy, it will come back to you to try to get the other toy. You can also do this with balls, or what ever the dog likes the most. If you look around on this board, you will see this described more extensivly.
I am fairly new to this board so I do not know how to link yet so here is the longe version: Go to the question and answer section of this board under the basic obedience section. There, question number 12 deals with the same thing and Ed goes into using the two ball (toy) method.
