I just joined a while ago, and I am getting my 10wk old puppy tonight <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> . She is a GSD, and I am wondering, how much does she need to exercise at this age? Does she need to go for walks right away, or is playing in the yard enough? And if so, when do I need to start walking her, and how much a day? I know not to run with her until 18 months, so we'll wait for that. Thank you all so much!!

This pup will be growing quickly (hopefully not too quckly)and will need plenty of play/nap time/pee time/ Wait several months before you even consider formal exercise. Keep the pup a little on the thin side as well while its growing. Also take lots of pictures, have a blast and GET The LEERBURG NEW PUPPY TAPE AND THE BASIC OBEDIENCE! It is well worth the money in light of the fact that you'll have this dog several years. Get off on the right foot. The tapes are excellent.
