This will allow those service members to be assured that their canine buddy is safe while they are gone. http://www.caninecorps.org/news.php Looks like they're getting a run of good media attention elsewhere as well. Seems like an awfully nice solution to a problem so many soldiers face, especially those without families to look after their pets. Too bad it seems limited to the keystone state, for now. ~Natalya

Florida Offline	Natalya, I heard that piece on NPR while I was driving home from work yesterday; what a great solution for those lucky enough to be accepted. Nice website they have; sounds like thay are doing lots of good work w/ rescues also.

Sure they're great and I couldn't live without dogs but you can have contact with them in other ways. Volunteer at a rescue or something. It's of course totally different with people who honestly never expected to deploy but it seems like a lot of people are getting dogs who could have reasonably expected to have to deploy at some point. Weird.
