Last night Cindy and I went to our friends (Mark and Irina)home for a small get together. Mark Keating is one of the decoys that does helper work on Cindy's young male - RUSH. I featured Mark in one of our weekly videos doing helper work - you can see it on our streaming video page on the web site.
Mark has a litter of 10 Mal puppies that are just now 7 weeks old. Ten of us spent almost 45 minutes out in the kennel playing with the litter.
These are all great puppies. The litter is uniform in temperament and drive. These pups are little aligators and they don't have a shy bone in their body. They had never been around that many people all at one time and they came charging into the room like we were all there to act as big human toys.
Mark and Irina own the father and mother of the litter. The parents are very level headed dogs. Marks stud dog is out of Michael Ellis's breeding.
If you are looking for a nice Mal pup you would be hard pressed to find a better litter. I have been in a lot of kennels in my life, but very very few that are as clean and well run as Redstar Kennels in Hudson WI.
If you have read my web site long enough you will know that I very seldom recommend trainers for people to send dogs to for training. Mark is the acception to that rule. He trains with Markers and has the interest of the dog at heart. He is also a level two french ring helper.
LOL. I was going to ask why he still had them all. 7 mal adolesence would be intersting to say the least. My father lives in Hudson and I am visiting the end of jan and my dream is to have a mal. Maybe the stars are aligning on this one. Trying not to get too exciting.
Is there much of a temperment difference between the sexes.
Thanks Ed!!! That is more than kind of you.
It was great to see you again and I'm glad you got
to hang out with the pups.
I know you've seen lots and lots of dogs and puppies, and
your stamp of approval means a whole lot to us.
Thank you
I put up a video of the pups doing their thing at 6 weeks old
on the youtube videos thread.
Take care everyone!!
Mark
ROFL! It is a full moon as of about 3:28 or so...just go ahead and make your decision.
If I was looking at getting a mal, I'd be roadtripping to WI right now.
I bought one of these pups and he is absolutely wonderful. Not only is he beautiful, he is smart and has tons of energy and drive. He is going to be a blast!!
Mark and Irina have been wonderful too and I am so glad I found them. :-)
