Hi Dobie Lovers,
I would like to know any working line dobermann breeders around the world that you would highly recommend, dont recommend or wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole?? any personal anecdotes and/or opinions or friends/friends of friends, anecdotes and/or opinions would help me out greatly.
the working line dobermann is rapidly declining, and will soon be gone all together the way things are going, especially in Australia, where you can not participate in dog sports or even play tug of war in the state that i live in. at this rate it will soon be illegal to import a working titled dog. so because of this i would like to learn more about breeders around the world, and what other people think of them.

I found a breeder in Odessa, TX that was really about the breed, and working line Dobes. I wish I could remember the name of the breeder for you but it was over a year ago when I was researching. If I can find it for you I'll post again in this thread.

Germany: Edertal, Burgstatte, Warringhof, Aurachrand, Eschenbruch, Del Pais Baveira (formerly Bayern, Manfred Lerner's kennel),there are others but these are the ones that come to mind right now.
Ukraine: Gratsiano
USA: Wustensturm, Landgraf, that are pure working lines the rest slip my mind
hello ,i have been heard or some one told me that a doberman breeder in ballarat vic, does breed hard working dobes but they do bite the handler, well you,ll find alot of hard dogs try to fight and even bite there owner as they challange for leader ship, but its not the breeder fault if he sold you a strong dog & you cannot control it,if you wanted a softer dog you should go for a show dog,hey god hard dog they willnot hasitate to bite in of fear or weak nerves,but because they can as much as they feel your not a strong leader.

The Schutzhund club I belong to has a training director that raises working Dobe's. He has a Sch3 bitch that was just bred, not sure if she is pregnant.. They don't breed very often but when they do they produce beautiful working Dobe's..http://www.incrediblecanine.com/police.html
