what's the dog etiquette around sniffing another dog while that dog is going to the washroom?
....the curiousity thread got me wondering.
luc likes to sniff neb while he's going to the washroom, pee or poop. neb used to be curious, but after sticking his head into the thread of luc's pee that happily has abated.
teagan, who is curious about everything, mrs. nosy parker, likes to sniff ME while i go to the washroom (but not luc or neb). she now knows i don't appreciate this....
but is it polite in dogs? neutral? rude? i just find it such a strange preoccupation, particularly in dogs (or people) that live together, not strange dogs....
Mine all three try to sniff each other while they are going potty.
Yote is bad about sniffing us while we are trying to go, so I make sure I shut the bathroom door well.
Yote is also obsessed with my son being in the bathtub and tries to lick him all over and puts his nose in the water and blows bubbles.
Yote is just into everything, he is nosey!
I just knew someone out there wouldnt be able to resist - LOL - I'm really bored and was waiting for someone to comment -
Angela, regarding the question, I'm not sure why they do it, probably because their dogs and they can - but my dogs will usually do that to one another or they wait till their done and then do the ol' "sniff each others pee pee" thing
