Not really funny I know but it amused me.
I have been trying to get dogs used to busy streets as we will soon be working in a big city. So there I was walking my GSD with a prong when I felt someone try to get my wallet out of my pocket. Brave guy.
Storm gave this really deep growl and bared his teeth. The guy withdrew his hand and apologised before running off. Weird.
Although I have done bitework with him Storm has been taught that he is not allowed to show any aggression to people but he recognised the threat and disregarded that - which was great but also he stopped with warning and didn't overdo it. I was very proud of him.
You hear something new every day. That mugger must have had a death wish. I remember walking my Doberman years ago and grown men would cross the street to get away from a dog that would probably have licked them to death. Most people in the general public have a very strong stereotype of GSDs. I'm surprised anyone would mess with you while walking him.

Yeah - that's the reason my dogs are not allowed to ever show any people aggression, the rules over here are so strict I just can't risk a problem.
That's why I was so glad he stopped with the growl - he's a smart boy.
The next day I took him to the same location and he's fine even with the crowds so no damage done.
