hi everyone!
i got a call at work today from our domestic, our neighbor had thrown my dogs with buckets of water after because he was barking, ironically someone was breaking in to her car.
so i approached her when i got home and let her know how i felt about her throwing my dogs with water, she responded arrogantly and did'nt even appreciate the fact that her car could have been stolen and that the dogs saved her some pain.
i've been very tolerant since they've been building for over a year and there is still building rubble on my property they promised to remove.
what else can i do????
Good Lord. I guess they could easily throw water over or through a fence. By "domestic" do you mean live-in nanny, maid, etc.? Why didn't he/she just bring them in or shut them up? Or doesn't he/she interact w/them?
Ironic that no one bothered to see WHY they were barking!!!
my dogs sleep indoors,i let them out when my i yr old male out when i leave in the morning,he does'nt normally bark much so when he does, and i'm at home i check to see whats going on,the msid handles him quite well but would'nt let them him in the house wet...
i guess some people just hate dogs
Well, to be fair to the neighbor, how much were they barking? If the maid wouldn't let him in b/c he was wet, he may have wanted to come in very badly and had been barking for hours. I would keep better tabs on my dogs, get them good quality (for safety reasons) bark collars, and be glad my neighbors didn't poison them instead.

I think that unless you are at home to check on why/when the dogs bark, they must be indoors.
Whether people do or do not hate dogs, there are always going to be neighbors who do not want to hear barking outside their windows all day long with no owner in sight. I would not want my dogs to be subjected to neighbors being enraged at them.
Maybe if you say that you'd like to be told if the dogs ever cause a disturbance, the neighbors will feel more that their peace and their feelings are being considered.
I have gone to neighbors and left a note for each one when I had a new adoptee who I knew was screaming when I'd leave the house. It makes such a difference in neighborhood relations. I really really don't want to feel that my neighbors consider my dogs to be a nuisance, and it's on me to go the extra mile -- I am the one with the dogs.
