He really does make a lot of different noises, at a lot of different times, sometimes when he eats he almost moans. And when he as a toy he talks to it the whole time.
Not to mention the stories he tells my husband when he gets home from work.
He might be grumbling out of relief, or pleasure, or who knows what, it is weird...but so is he. Originally I was concerned maybe it was hurting him to pee, but that doesn't seem to be the case now.
I am actually more concerned with the dirt scratching he tries to do because that tears stuff up.
So now I let him stop to pee once a block or so at my choice of location and as soon as he is done we start moving.
On longer walks that are not just to potty I stop stopping after the first few blocks once I know he doesn't actually need to go.
It has been two weeks since he was neutered so maybe some of the testosterone is leaving his system. We have been on two walks already today and he peed at the beginning and then not again until the very end...YAY!!
He has also been pooping in his own yard, which is really much easier than having to take him for a walk everytime to get him to go.
He also has not hackled at Loki for the last two days, maybe tonight we will bring them in the same room together both on leash and see what happens....I would love it if we could have them both in the room with us in the evening.

My male GSD pees all at once - he has never lifted his leg which is good. Though he does rush into the garden and pees in front of my male spaniels kennel door.
When on walks if I continue to walk while he is peeing he begins to cry / whimper - I think it's just a sign of excitement though when he started it I did take a sample to the vet to check for an infection etc.
