My gsd is 18mos old. She has never really gotten along with my 2 year old beagle. She plays very rough with him and her hair stands up on her back. She has never growled/bitten or anything like that. She does is very rough. I thought she would grow out of this. She hates other dogs unless our friends bring over their dogs and she can play with them nicely (but NOT gently). It seems she is getting worse with age. I am concerned that she will not be good with small children. Any advice?

First, other dogs. I'd quit that. Why does she need playdates?
Now, your dog. Do you mean your other dog becomes frightened or hurt? Why do you let her play so roughly?
From the title, I gathered that there were attacks. Have there been?
She's getting worse because you LET her get worse. Why not just keep her away from other dogs, including your Beagle?
FYI, "hating" other dogs has absolutely nothing to do with how she may be with small children. Dogs are not children, children are not dogs, and all dogs know this.
