Hi, a little background info first. I got Matilda at 6 months old and I was her third owner. I had not researched GSDs, I only saw a gorgeous dog that needed a home. I had never trained anyone to do anything before. She was buck wild. She dragged me around the neighborhood, barked at men, women, children, grass, dogs, etc. She had no respect for me at all and didnt get along with my two smaller dogs (which now stay seperated at all times). I found this website while looking for help on how to deal with her. Boy did I find help. Thanks to the forum and some good people on it, ebooks, and dvds, Im proud to say Matilda is a well behaved, well adjusted and over all healthier dog. I dealt with her dominence and aggression and she wouldnt even think of doing some of the things she used to (including biting me lol). She was 45 lbs when I got her in November and is now 70 lbs and all muscle, thanks to her raw diet, that I read about on this website. She may even try schuthund in the future or SAR.

Ditto! Don't think Matilda would be where she is now if YOU hadn't stepped up and put the necessary work into changing things (Leerburg is a great resource, but last time I checked, the dogs can't actually read it for themselves... ).
Matilda is a beauty - looks like she's got a real mischievous streak... love those ears... And welcome to the forum!
