Many people commute from one of these suburbs. There are places within the city that have parks, neighborhoods, etc. Plus you're very close to the mountains and National Forest land. http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/recreation/map/colorado/current-html/hi-speed-map/index-hi-speed.shtml I think it's a GREAT place to have a dog. I hope moving to Denver will NOT be the reason you give up your dog. There are MANY apts/houses that take GSDs. I would do a bit of research (maybe start on craigslist) pm me if you need more info.
