My female GSD has been eating about half as much as she did previously
(from 9 months to 15 months) over the past few weeks.
She is about 62 pounds and doesn't appear to have lost any weight.
She previously ate 1.5 pounds of RMBs and about 1 pound of ground
muscle meat mixed with supplements per day. Now she only wants about
half that and is refusing turkey necks. I did feed her some green tripe
and trachea/gullet around the time of decline. I'm guessing a level of
maturity and slower growth has been reached and less food is required.
Has anyone else noticed a decline in appetite around this age? Thanks! John
Oops,
Sorry I missed the sign off line "her activity has remained high".
Head slap here.
So my next question John is what does 'high level' mean to you?
For instantance, what I do with my dog you may think we're absolute slugs, but in my frame I couldn't spend anymore effort. So what does 'high level' mean?
I'm only trying to determine if the dog is taking in what she is expending.
Some dogs will take in only what they need for their activity level.
