I have a few questions about the dogtra collars:
1) has anyone ever changed a battery by yourself and how did you do this? - in the manual it states it can be done by yourself, but does not give directions.
2) where did you find the replacement battery and do you have a model number? I have the dogtra 3502 which is Lithium polymer battery which doesn't need replacing at this time but it would be good to know battery number. My neighbor needs to replace the battery in the collar of his dogtra 200ncp and doesn't know the number or where to purchase.
3) on dogtras website it lists available replacement prongs and being that my dogs have long hair I want to try them. However, on their site it says certain prongs are for certain models, whereas, on the Leerburg site it does not differentiate prongs for different models. Has anyone tried putting the 1" prong on the 3502 dogtra collars? If so, did it work and fit correctly? Is the collar still waterproof?

Dogtra will give you the location of the battery supplier nearest you. I never had to replace. Dogtra say the receiver battery should last approx. 4 years. The transmitter battery longer. The will give you the battery number.
The longer prongs do work and the collar is still waterproof on my 1700.
