Are you raising a working puppy this is different than raising a pet. Is your puppy little nervy VS solid nerves? Are the children in question are your kids or strangers kids? Ed is very specific in his post when he says "this is not a yes or no issue". If you want your dog to be a pet then it would be fine to allow your children to pet the dog BUT good GSD's are like little alligators and kid can be hurt easily so be careful.. WHEN I SEE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL, I'D BE WILLING TO DIE PROTECTING IT.
