My partner and I have a male GSD who was supposedly trained as a guard dog but after being with us and going through obedience again with me he knows to no longer grab pants or sleeves and not to lose his mind on people during walks and most the time at the door (I don't consider him done with manners at the door until it's been a month with no barking, and running to test the new people) Otherwise he's a Great dog after someone meets him he's all calm and with most people mainly women and oddly affectionate.
I'm going to be reviewing the Aggressive and dominate dog DVD today but my question is more on how should I get him used to being around more new people? Should I take him for walks with more people around and slowly take him to places with more and more people until I've reached the level of "traffic" of the area we're moving to?
