Rae, I was able to get several large kennels (6x10's, 12x10's) from Craigslist. I paid very little for them. I buy them whenever I can find them and I use them to make larger runs all over my yard. I have 2 fence jumpers (those are the ones who are sometimes tied, consequently), so if I have enough panels, I can make roofs. Anyhow, tell people what you do. You might be able to get people to give them to you free for the hauling. I found a few like this.
If you've been on t.v., ask the station if they'll do another quick thing on your ranch and ask for help from the community. See if you could highlight some of the easier dogs to place. Really get their faces out there and tug at some heartstrings. If they can't take the dogs, maybe some donations to help make them more placeable if they need meds, etc.
It does sound like you had good intentions w/them; you put an old dog on thyroid meds when many would just turn it away. You obviously take pity on dogs who have had a rough life, but you have to be realistic on how much ONE person can do. Your dad doesn't sound like he's as much on board as you are. I have many many animals. However, none of mine are what I would call special needs, as yours are, and I have no children on my property, let alone special needs children. You need a taskforce to care for all those kids/dogs.
Instead of spreading yourself so thin, decide who truly needs to stay and who could find a great life elsewhere, and concentrate on that. IMO, that is what will bring about the "greatest good."

If you contact established rescues in your area you should be able to get some help with placing some of the dogs. At the bare minimum they should give you a courtesy listing on their website and perhaps some assistance in screening homes.
Rescuing a dog, bringing it onto your property, is the easy part. The hard part is finding them their forever home.
