To the O.P.,
Did you ease into the all-new food with a couple of small meals?
Also, is there a chance of overfeeding now, on the new food?
In a healthy dog, here are the persistent soft-poop problem triggers we read/hear most often by far: Too much food per meal or just too much food on a new diet; too much fat too soon (on raw) or too much organ meat too soon (raw).
I'd try a half-size meal just to see -- to have a new line of inquiry.
But also, with this persisting over two foods, I'd be asking about a fecal re-do.
I am finally getting back into the forum to update some of my questions.
Thanks for the reply and as you can see in the above post we are making progress. We did get another fecal and it came back having no bacteria. Our vet put her on Purina EN gastroenteric along with FortiFlora which is a probiotics for dogs and she responded well to this which firmed up the stool.
To answer the first question about feeding we were feeding 1/4 new to 3/4 old food and then 1/2 new 1/2 old but for several days this was not improving. We have since tried a few grain free foods and she seems to be reacting well to FROMM, today we are going to start trying some sample pack of the Wellness dog food for the slightly higher protein value.
To answer the second post.. her poop was all over the spectrum firm, mushy, and water. But now everything seems to be settling down.
We are keeping our fingers crossed and thank you everyone for taking the time to share your thoughts.

It comes in a packet if I am not mistaken, and not actually food...I think.
The fortiflora has been proven to help with the gut flora of dogs. http://www.purinavets.com/relief/default.aspx
http://www.michvma.org/documents/MVC%20Proceedings%202008/Prober.pdf quote:"There are a number of pet specific brands of probiotic products, synbiotic products, and probiotic foods. Recently Purina came out with Fortiflora in both a cat and dog version. Fortiflora is Enterococcus faesium stain SF68. This bacterium has long been considered beneficial to humans and animals. The bacteria are microencapsulated to increase stability. They recommend feeding one packet once a day to the animal no matter what size the patient is. The company states that the effects of the Fortiflora can take up to 30 days in chronic diarrhea, but only 15 days in acute cases. While literature suggests that probiotics can have significant effects on diarrhea and Fortiflora is made with a probiotic that has significant research behind it, the one drawback of this product is that it has been covered in animal digest that is a combination of chicken, beef, and pork products to help increase its palatability. Therefore, Fortiflora should not be used if you are instituting a novel protein diet."
I understand no one likes Purina but in this case, it did help the pup for now. Now, pup can go on to good stuff.

I thought so. I wanted to let everyone know quickly because this is something I have been looking into for Lucy to help her tummy out as much as possible, and that it is a good thing.
On to the topic at hand...

Our vet put her on Purina EN gastroenteric along with FortiFlora which is a probiotics for dogs Yes, it sounds like he is now feeding his puppy Purina food, in addition to the additive.

I am not defending or condemning. I do know some puppies have problems that raw won't fix. Maybe this is one. This has a protein that is already broken down to digest easily. Get this puppy fed first, healthy, and able to eat, then work with someone who is familiar with raw (nutrionist) who can help the pup.

Rick, have you thought about going RAW? Gluten free for sure.
Edit: I mean RAW for your dog...

Maybe adding probiotics, or adding some plain yogurt to the EVO kibble would help. I'm not 100% on whether puppies can have probiotics-anyone know for the OP's sake and for my own knowledge?
