thanks for getting that clear. Do you know what the proper German words are for those actions? I mean, are there certain "standard" terms used or is the general german word "genug" what is used?
I honestly haven't the foggiest notion what you would say for "enough". Perhaps genug or vorbei.
(How sad, that I lived in Germany for 6 years, and don't know.)
I typically only use German commands for formal OB/Schutzhund work.
For everything else, I use English commands. "Leave it", "Enough", "Quiet", etc.
(On an unrelated note... I think I'm going to train my dog in Hebrew next time. Either that, or pair food names with commands. Pizza for sit. Yogurt for down. Hamburger for here...)
I like the german commands because he is a german dog. I also don't want others being able to try to command him so that's why I've chosen to train him in a different language.
My wife had a great idea - I should train him in Chinese!
