I am starting my search for a working line GSD female puppy (Schutzhund prospect) and am looking for PM recommendations. It’s a little overwhelming doing internet searches for potential breeders. We are thinking of getting the pup around spring\summer 2010, could be sooner or later depending on the litter. In case you are wondering I would like another female because I am a relatively new trainer\handler and feel females are a little easier to train.
I have a female GSD currently 19 months old, she is my first dog. When we got her we were looking for just a pet but now that I am hooked, I would like to get another dog for sport (Schutzhund). My current dog is a very good dog but lacks some of the qualities that are required for sport.
Geography is not an issue. Please give me your recommendations and any other information that you are willing to share.

Hi Scott
Since you are starting your looking early and you have a definate goal in mine, schutzhund, I would go to as many club training, trials as possible and look at the dogs.
If you see a dog you like, find out about the pedigree and corner the owner and ask questions!
You will also get an idea of breeders this way and who does what.
