Ok, so I finished watching Ed's DVD - power of marker training - and I have a question. Kasey is 2 1/2 yrs. He was not trained with marker training, but is reliable now with all the basic stuff - sit, down, stay, come, etc. I want him to learn a more informal version of heel - walk by my side w/o pulling. But that, I know, has to be broken down into steps and I'm not I'm ready to tackle that right off as my first marker training experience.
So, in people's opinion, what would you start with if you were me? I was thinking of options - hand touch, look, to sit from a down (he's pretty lame at that!), etc. What makes sense?
Thanks for your advices!
BTY - we did charge the mark already, and he definitely understands when the food comes!
