Lucy gets her kennel either Thursday or Saturday, depending on when I can get someone with a truck to pick up the panels.
Just wondering if you all who have kennels have suggestions or tips on anchors, which direction to place the roof (tarp), etc...etc.
The only bad things I have heard about these kennels with the A roof w/tarp is they tend to fall over during wind shears so to anchor them. I don't want to drill and rebar them, but I also don't want it flying away to Kansas or New York or Canada...
(Don't stone me but we always used dog box, chain, and/or perimeter training, so kennels are new to me.)
I do have my picks for the sidings...but that will have to wait until this fall when I have more money.
Regarding tops, I don't know what kind exactly you have but mine ended up dry rotting and then blew off in a big wind storm. I didn't realize the top was as bad as it was.
The top was made specifically to fit the kennels I have, which included the metal tubing and the tarp. I also didn't like that the plastic tarp seemed to cook in the heat.
I have concrete kennel floors, so I like when the rain is able to wash them. (Even though they are cleaned daily.)
I've ordered a sun top for mine. It'll provide shade, but still let water come through.
