I got Lucy's kennel up over the weekend. 10 X 20 with 6ft high panels. roof over 10 X 10 area. I liked it so much, I almost moved in and left the world outside.
Anyway, I was wondering if training in there would be okay? she is little, so its quite large for her. I thought it would be a good place to do recall, heel, etc and then I could do some heeling outside the kennel along the panels.
It is okay to use the kennels for training provided the training is upbeat and not detrimental to the calm zen of the kennel?
When you think about it, the kennel is really just a "small back yard". I don't see how any POSITIVE training or playing in her kennel is anything but good.
No corrections in the kennel. Just simple fun upbeat marker training. She is coming along so well physically and behaviorally (sp?), I don't want her kennel to be a bad place for her.
