I agree Dennis, I don't think they are gonna take our guns... they are too smart for that.
They will however, be more than happy to tax guns/ammo waaayyyy out of the reach of all of us 'good ol' boys' and perhaps we crazies will need millions of dollars of insurance if we dare to own guns.
Who in the world would provide insurance to "right-wing extremists" - certainly no insurance company which is no longer in control of making their own decisions.
Alyssa, you were wise in doubting Snopes on this matter. I use and rely on Snopes on a regular basis, but it is pretty much a dedicated husband/wife team doing their best to research and disseminate information. It is not a huge research facility teaming with hundreds of trained professionals...
Actually, Snopes has been shown to have a political agenda and a lot of their "finds" have become suspect of late.

Yes, I noticed that as well. One example in particular, a uh... "public figure" whose citizenship was in doubt. Snopes declared that the case had been settled, when in fact, it had merely been thrown out of court on the basis that the plaintiff could show no personal damages in the matter. Snopes represented that it had been thrown out of court for lack of merit, which was not the case.

That's just the tip of the iceberg, apparently.
One of the articles that I read pointed out over twenty Snopes articles that were considered "settled" by Snopes but were factually in error.....and oddly, all those articles were "settled" in favor of the owners of the Snopes site chosen political party.
They're becoming as reliable as "Wiki", which is to say, not very....
