My pup had this at about the same age. It ended up to be 2 nodules, from the top to bottom of the tounge. One busted biting the sleeve and the other went away in a few months. It took my vet awile to figure it out, lol.
Print this and show it to your vet. When my vet looked at it and i asked what it was she said "don't know, never seen that before", she called the following day and said she was on a vet only forum and described it and a fellow vet told her to see if it fit, it did.
I didn't realize more people were commenting on this post. I apologize. I had to reschedule the vet visit for this Saturday, 10:15. I will post back with any news. Al, I will bring in the post from you. Thank you.
Well, I took Vic today to the vet and the weird thing on his tongue is in fact a virul wart. The good news is that they will normally heal by themselves. The bad news is that it is contagious to dogs so my other little guy might get them too. No big deal though, just glad it isn't cancer! Oh yeah, and he's about 11 months old and 80lbs.
Everyone at the office was petting Vic as they left, even if they had to walk across the room. It was hilarious, he'a a real lady-killer. Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I love this forum.
