there are many causes of an enlarged spleen that are "unknown". This was one of them.
After sitting there for 5 days wondering if my dog's days are numbered because of hemangiosarcoma I'll take a diagnosis of benign hyperplastic blah blah blah with excellent prognosis and put this behind us.
It's been incredibly draining for all of us, to go through this so soon after losing Aera suddenly. All of this comes just weeks after going through a long drawn out neurological episode with Morgan (who is doing GREAT BTW) We are happy to take each day as it comes right now and count our blessings.
The moral of this story is don't take your dogs for granted (or your human loved ones either).
We don't know how long we'll have them with us, so enjoy them while you can.
