Hi Everyone: Well I'm looking for some thoughts on the above
topic. Luna is now 16 months old and for some reason the
"switch has turned off" She was a 24/7 in your face, high active
sometimes obnoxious wanting to play, exercise constantly type
of female. Just like a switch she has calmed down to the point
of me thinking "Whats wrong with her". Now I'm blaming it on
the heat. She eats, drinks, poops are good. Willing to play and
then come inside and lay down on the cool kitchen floor. Willing
to be hugged (something she was not always fond of) and generally a joy to be around. Is she really calming down or is
it a simple thing like the weather? What ever it is I hope it
lasts. Any thoughts?
Thanks as always

You might want to consider having Luna checked for Lyme and some of the other tick-borne diseases.
Just thought to post the suggestion as my dog was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease. She experienced a change in activity level like you describe. I had thought too that maybe it was attributed to higher temps. Again, not sure of your location and if ticks are a consideration; but I thought it was worth mentioning.
HI Katie: I live in NE Alabama and yes ticks are a problem
here. I check her daily for ticks and she is on promaris. Haven't
seen a tick or flea, since she is a white shepherd there easy
to find. Could I have missed one? yes. I will watch for some
more signs and will read up on lyme and rocky mountain spotted
fever. I never thought of that so thank you.
