We have been doing the sardines and yogurt snacks, she has not managed to steal any food since we started. But we are doing better about keeping the bread in the microwave so that might have a lot to do with it.
The only problem with the snacks is she is having horrible clear the room fish farts.
Is there any other options besides sardines that might work??
Poor Nico! I guess Hounds aren't meant for fish...
Well....are we just trying to fill her up? How about baby food chicken? Baby food beef mixed with the full fat yogurt?
Granted, it will have been cooked and such, but protein is still viable.
I will think some more for poor Nico. I just filled Lucy up the other day for the first time...took 3 meals and 3.5 pounds of food for her to NOT accept any more food. ( Experiment to see how much it actually took. ), so I know about a hungry dog.
Does she get rec bones to chew on to help redirect craving?
I do give her kongs from time to time, but her teeth aren't so great so she doesn't chew on them for very long no matter what they are stuffed with.
Well the idea behind the sardines was the protein but also the fats, but i guess any protein would work to help her not get so hungry and I could always add some grizzly oil to the snack.
