I usually follow the feeding method you have put, I am feeding her a huge bowl of food twice a day, it just looks crazy seeing a dog eating a bowl of food bigger than her head. Granted, not to helpful, but just an idea. She gets a skinny look by mid-day after eating 2.5 lbs in the morning, and same thing when she wakes up in the morning. I am feeling her body is not getting 100% out of everything she is eating because it is so much at one time for her frame. Is that possible?
Her poop is normal. It is solid. The problem I run into is the volume. It is hard to judge because I am unable to say what she was like on kibble. Like I said before, she hasn't eaten more than 1/2 cup of kibble max. But in general though, She seems to clear her system maybe 3-4 times a day. So it isn't anything too extreme as they aren't too big or smelly. I will give her more feedings and see how she does. From the looks of it, she is getting all out of her food in theory. Like we have been saying, it might just be the way she is. She is starting to look skinny again so I will be adding more food probably next week if she keeps up with that. Keep the ideas coming and I will keep you posted as well.
