Hide 'n' seek, is that as simple as it sounds? At first does the dog see about where the prize is at and then work up to actually finding it?
This is my pack's favorite inside activity and a good way to burn off some energy on days when we don't go out. We call it "Find it!"
Use a high-value toy, and start by "hiding" it in plain sight on the floor next to you. Then "hide" it under a pillow or towel that the pup sees you put it under. Then behind the door. You gradually work up to hiding the toy in harder and harder places to find...in other rooms, inside closets, etc. Searching for the toy can occupy them for many minutes racing and sniffing around the house to find the toy. I now have trouble finding places hard enough to make the game fun...
You can also work on "stay" as part of the game. Put the dog in a stay while you leave the room to hide the toy. Dog doesn't get to start looking until you return and release them.
