Andrew, we've had this food as a topic here before; I can say (briefly) that it includes a lot of ingredients that I wouldn't feed, as mentioned by others in this thread.
There are pre-made raw food that (IMHO) are pretty good; this isn't one of them.
Wow, thanks for the feedback. My dog is doing really well on raw. Was looking at a raw complete as a solution to making it easier for the Mrs to feed the dogs when im not there but maybe not.
The only thing I could possibly add to Alyssa's post (and I am only a little over a year into raw and still consider myself a newbie), and it is really difficult to ever make a positive contritution to Alyssa's posts, but the way I keep the frozen/thawing food in the fridge is in a plastic container with lid.
This was a suggestion from Connie (I think) and it appeals to the lazy side of me. It keeps the bloods from running out and I keep the used baggies in it until I have the time to wash and re-use them.
The one I use cost only $3 and is approximately 8" x 12" x 6". There are smaller and larger sizes.
Are you gone for really long periods of time, Andrew?
You don't have to have months of meals ready in advance. Or have a HUGE freezer.
Balance doesn't have to be an everyday thing. When someone else has to feed my dog I simply buy a whole chicken and cut it into meal size portions. I've even feed chicken 1/4er's for a week on a vacation. Not something you'd call a complete diet, but definitely fine for short term absences.
If we're talking months that you'll be gone, then one of the ground mixes or THK would be good.
