I must admit I was intrigued. Normally detection skills that are useful are limited to very specific situations (like tracking shot deer) or are for items that the normal person just doesn't have (drugs, bomb making materials) Cel phones however are easy to come by, everyone has one, which means for the average person ample amounts of opportunities to train and acquiring a box of broken/old cel phones to hide is fairly inexpensive and easy. So I was wondering if anyone here had any knowledge of training dogs to detect phones. Since I don't know (and they don't indicate)I was curious if the dog is able to detect phone parts like phone vs battery, or if other electronics cause issues with false hits like cordless mice, digital cameras, etc.
