Hey, does anyone have any experience with UKC trial rules?
I am going to enter a trial next Friday with 2 of my dogs, and after checking the rules on equipment, I have now discovered that I can't use prong collars.
It says "no fancy, studded, "pinch" or "prong" collars, and a fabric or leather leash"
So now my question is are choke collars allowed? Do they have to be on the dead ring?
I dont know about UKC but at AKC Rally trials you can use a choke chain and no it doesn't need to be on the dead ring. You would think their rules would be somewhat the same. So the rules tell you what not to use but they dont state what you can use? - maybe theres a phone number you can try to call and find out for sure?
anyway, good luck at the trial!! Rally is so much fun
I didn't read these, but maybe the question is answered.

If you google this: ukc rally rules, choke
... you will see the phrase in the returns "No choke, martingale, prong or shock collars, head halters or no-pull harnesses" several times. But I'd actually read the links.
