Hi,
I have a Lab/Poodle cross, tall, nice dog, just gets into too many fights with other dogs. She likes them on leash, charges them with the slightest glance from other dog. So, we're getting her a muzzle.
Now, which type of muzzle? She's great with all people, great recall, obedient - just not 100% around dogs. She'll wear this thing for a while and I'll put her on a longline as well. I appreciate the feedback -
It would depend on the length of her nose (muzzle). Different dogs need different sizes and since she's a cross, it's a matter of the length of her nose. Check out the muzzle page: http://leerburg.com/muzzle.htm
There's a video on how to condition your dog to accept the muzzle and there are instructions on how to measure your dogs nose.
I do know of one other website (don't know how they operate for sure, because I haven't yet purchased anything from them yet). But if you want I can send you a PM with the site link.
I use this http://www.birdwellenterprises.com/ muzzle on my Giant Schnauzer. I prefer it to a wire basket muzzle. It's lighter weight, doesn't rub him, and doesn't hurt me when he bumps me with it. I have the keeper strap on it and it has never come off when properly adjusted.
I think that they just redid their website as the links aren't working. In the past when I have called them they have been very accommodating and easy to work with.
